Choosing a renewable energy installer is a big decision. You're not just choosing who will install your Solar Panels or Air Source Heat Pump - you're making a long-term investment in your home.
At Regen Renewables, we're proud to be a HIES Accredited Member, giving our customers an additional layer of protection and reassurance when choosing us for their renewable energy installation.
HIES is a consumer protection organisation for the home energy sector. Its Code of Practice sets requirements for how accredited installers deal with customers, from the initial contract and installation through to guarantees, complaints and financial protection.
So, when you choose Regen Renewables, you're choosing more than an experienced renewable energy installer. You're choosing an installer operating within a recognised consumer protection framework.
What does HIES Accreditation mean for you, the customer?
Your deposit can be protected.
Putting down a deposit for a major home improvement can understandably feel like a risk.
HIES requires its accredited installers to register contracts with the scheme, providing customers with information about the Deposit & Stage Payment Protection available.
Eligible deposits and staged payments are protected subject to the terms and limits of the applicable policy. Under the current HIES scheme, deposits or staged payments up to 25% of the total contract value or £5,000, which ever is lower, are covered by the relevant protection.
This gives you additional reassurance when committing to your renewable energy installation.
Your workmanship is backed by a guarantee.
HIES requires accredited installers to provide customers with a workmanship guarantee following satisfactory completion of the installation.
This is separate from the manufacturer's warranty for the equipment itself. It provides protection relating to the installation workmanship, subject to the terms of the guarantee.
HIES also requires the workmanship guarantee to be supported by an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG). This provides an additional layer of protection should the installer cease trading and be unable to honour its workmanship guarantee.
That means you can have greater confidence in your investment both now and in the years ahead.

Independent protection if things don't go to plan.
We work hard to make every installation a positive experience, but it's reassuring to know that there is an independent process available if a problem cannot be resolved directly.
HIES operates a complaints and dispute resolution process for customers of its accredited installers. HIES requires members to have appropriate procedures for handling complaints and provides access to alternative dispute resolution where applicable.
For you, that means an additional level of support beyond your direct relationship with Regen Renewables.
A clear standard for customer service.
HIES accreditation isn't simply about what happens on installation day.
The HIES Code of Practice sets requirements covering the customer journey, including areas such as contracts, cancellation rights, installation planning, communication, documentation and complaints handling.
HIES-certified installers are expected to deal with consumers professionally, provide clear information and avoid high-pressure sales techniques.
At Regen Renewables, this fits naturally with the way we already work: providing a clear, managed process from your initial property assessment through system design, installation, commissioning and aftercare.
Protection from start to finish
At Regen Renewables, we manage your renewable energy project from the initial consultation through to installation and beyond.
Our team carries out detailed property assessments, designs systems around your individual requirements and manages the installation through to completion.
Our HIES accreditation adds another layer of protection to that process.
